During quarantine, it’s a good idea to come up with these self love & care resolutions.
Self Love & Care is so important. You should feel good to own the body that you’re in no matter what body type you have, love how you look and feel confident in yourself. It’s a priority for me, and it indefinitely should be a priority for you because you’re in your own skin for a life time, so why don’t you love yourself?
In quarantine, I’ve decided to work, and focus on myself.
Eating what’s right
I get it, you’re bored inside all day, and so you decide to eat everything. No filter, but stop being a fat ass. I suggest not to eat too much, but not too little. If you live with your mom, dad, and even have siblings, bounce back, and save food for them, or save it for later. But importantly, rewire your brain to choose something healthier for your body.
Skin
I personally do not have clear, glowing skin. Makeup, spicy, and oily food, and seafood makes me break out so easily, and I know it sucks. If you also break out easily, figure out what triggers you to break out, and go from there. Maybe it’s the type of food you eat, makeup, the products you use for your skin. Whatever it is, Try to avoid it.
The best thing you should do is:
- Drink plenty of water to hydrate your skin (Especially early in the morning, the moment you wake up, and you will feel refreshed.)
- If you wear makeup on a daily basis, why not take a break? You’re in quarantine, so who’s there to look extra good for? Take a break, and accept your natural look.
Hair
I know some of you girls can relate to me but on a typical day at school, I would add heat to my hair by either straightening my hair, over straightening it, or sometimes even curl it. The results at the end of the day is DAMAGED hair.
During quarantine, I’ve decided to just bounce back from adding heat to my hair, and starting fresh. No more straightening, no more curling, no more heat. I have natural wavy hair that I’m in potential to embrace it, and own it.
Realize how beautiful you are with or without makeup. Set goals for yourself, and give up bad habits, It’s not easy but nothing is easy. It’s about how bad do you really want it? If you put your mind into it, and put in the hard work, you may see the results you’ve always wanted, but it’s not going to happen over night. Many people had their New Years Resolution all thought out, but in reality not many people kept them, and commit to them.
So ask yourself, what are your quarantine resolutions? Are you going to commit to your goals, and achieve them? If so, take action.
I hope quarantine is going well for you all, and your families.
